POS1477-HPR IS ECO-INTENSITY A PREDICTIVE FACTOR IN DETERMINING THE PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE OF WOMEN WITH KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS?

چکیده

Background Researchers are increasingly using echo-intensity (EI) as an index of muscle quality or fatty and fibrous tissue infiltration. EI is moderately associated with strength and/or power a better predictor performance than measures mass. In this regard, ultrasound-derived may be promising skeletal assessment tool for monitoring the progression physical performance. However, there has been no study that investigated relationship between in women knee osteoarthritis (OA). Objectives The aim our to investigate OA. Methods Ninety-six radiological clinical OA participated cross-sectional observational study. Quadriceps femoris (Rectus Femoris-RF, Vastus Intermedius-VIM, Medialis-VM, Lateralis-VL) hamstring (Biceps Femoris-BF, semitendinosus-STT semimembranosus-SMM) muscles were evaluated B-Mode ultrasonography. Ultrasound images analysed offline image analysis software (Image J) program was determined same researcher. All patients completed Knee Injury Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) related disorder-specific questionnaire. Physical included Five times Sit Stand test (FTSS), Twenty-meter Walk Test (20WT), Stair Climbing (SCT). Results mean age participating 58.73±9.42 years. A positive correlation found quadriceps total KOOS scores. RF, VIM, VM, VL BF presented significant negative FTSS, 20WT SCT (Table 1). Table 1.
